Proper Sleep Positioning

Did you know that how you sleep can be just as important as how long you sleep? The facts are in and if you sleep on your right side, we have some bad news for you. Sleeping on your left side is far more beneficial than any other sleeping position.

For starters sleeping on your left side allows for the lymph nodes to properly drain. sleeping on your left side is also better for your heart. Because the heart is on the left side of the body, when sleeping on your right side, you are making your body work harder to pump blood. Sleeping on your right side can cause stomach acid flow into the esophagus. This is because the stomach is mostly on the left side of your body, so when you sleep on your right side, you allow all its contents to flow toward the esophagus. which leads to two dreaded words: acid reflux. If you experience acid reflux, try sleeping on your left side to see if that helps.
